You are Anthony Condon, an experienced cyclist from Sydney, Australia. You're out on a group ride with some friends, having a great time, doing about 30 mph on a wide, relatively smooth road. And then... you are fucked up.
Condon hit a piece of aluminum just right, sending it into his front wheel, which locked up, sending him on an alley-oop and onto the road.
In an !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , Condon explains he was not seriously injured. He also points out that one of the reasons WHY he wasn't seriously injured is that his fellow riders went around him, rather than plowing through him.
Note to cyclists: always be looking out for road debris.
Additional note to cyclists: when one of your group members does something like Condon and his bike goes 15 feet into the air, do your best to avoid that person.
Condon's bike, however, has gone to that great Mt. Ventoux in the sky. In lieu of flowers, send Condon your lottery tickets; he's one lucky bastard.
